The purpose of the Upper Canada Map Society is to provide a friendly and open environment to promote the study, appreciation and collection of antiquarian maps, atlases and cartographic items.

The Society wishes to apeal to people with a wide range of interests in early maps and to provide opportunities for people interested in history, geography, map collecting as well as antique map sellers, librarians and anyone interested in the history of cartography to exchange ideas, information and perspectives, through participation in the society.
